Abstract: The beginnings of all language literature on the subject can be found first in the form of Folk literature. The beginning of Santali literature is no exception. Santali literature can be divided into two main categories. One is folk literature and the others in written literature. Folk literature is a part literature. Folk literature has many divisions, one of those divisions is folklore. Santali literature contains innumerable folktales as compared to other literature. This folktale has a deep connection with Santal society. Because through this folk story, Santal society’s customs, rituals, customs, reforms, culture, religion worship, life philosophy history, the real essence of all these things is observed. For that reason, it can be said that this folktale has many contribution to move the people and society of Santal society forward, similarly, the importance of this folktale is immense in enriching Santali literature.
