dc.description.abstractSantali folk song are an importance in Santal Society. In This society, these folk songs are at the birth of child. From its birthday ceremony to its wedding ceremony and even during the death ceremony. Singing this folk song is also part of a ritual. None of their rituals are complete without folk songs. These songs were created by their forefathers in ancient times from their experiences and but no one knows when and where they started. These folk songs with different words and tunes have been embellishing the social and religious events of the Santal nation since ancient times to the present day.en_US
