      <title>Social Constructivism in Teaching Mathematics: An Absorbing Markov Chain Representation</title>

      <description>Title: Social Constructivism in Teaching Mathematics: An Absorbing Markov Chain Representation
Authors: Voskoglou, Michael Gr.
Abstract: The application of the principles of social constructivism for learning has become very&#xD;
popular during the last decades for teaching mathematics. In this article the process of&#xD;
teaching mathematics on the basis of those principles is represented by an absorbing&#xD;
Markov chain introduced on its steps. Interesting conclusions are produced through this&#xD;
representation and a measure is obtained for the effectiveness of teaching procedure. An&#xD;
example for teaching the derivative to fresher university students is also presented&#xD;
illustrating our results.

      <title>A Similarity Measure Between Generalized Fuzzy Numbers</title>
      <link>https://ir.vidyasagar.ac.in/jspui/handle/123456789/5475</link>
      <description>Title: A Similarity Measure Between Generalized Fuzzy Numbers
Authors: Majidi, Mehdi
Abstract: Chen 2008, proposed a method for handling fuzzy risk analysis problems based on&#xD;
measures of similarity between interval-valued fuzzy numbers. In this paper, we proposed&#xD;
a method based on measures of similarity between generalized fuzzy numbers. In this&#xD;
method, the horizontal center-of-gravity, the perimeter, the height and the area of the two&#xD;
fuzzy numbers are considered and also the proposed approach is very simple and easy to&#xD;
apply in the real life problems.

      <description>Title: Mixed Fractional CEV Model with Stochastic Volatility and the Pricing of European Options
Authors: Sun, Yudong; Wanshan, Xie
Abstract: In this work, we study the existence, uniqueness and continuity of solution to tock price&#xD;
equation of CEV model with stochastic volatility in fixed fractional Brown motion.&#xD;
Besides, we show a Monte Carlo simulation based on the discretization method to price&#xD;
the European option.

      <title>Faculty Evaluation using Fuzzy Numbers</title>
      <link>https://ir.vidyasagar.ac.in/jspui/handle/123456789/5473</link>
      <description>Title: Faculty Evaluation using Fuzzy Numbers
Authors: Alam, Md. Ashraful; Islam, Sahidul; Pandit, M.K
Abstract: This research work provides a method based on fuzzy numbers to evaluate a faculty&#xD;
member of a university associated with degrees of confidence of the evaluator (student).&#xD;
The satisfaction levels for each question of faculty evaluation form are represented by&#xD;
fuzzy numbers associated with degrees of confidence between zero and one. The arithmetic&#xD;
operations between the α–cuts of fuzzy numbers are used to evaluate the total points of&#xD;
each faculty.
