Authors: Voskoglou, Michael Gr.
Abstract: The application of the principles of social constructivism for learning has become very
popular during the last decades for teaching mathematics. In this article the process of
teaching mathematics on the basis of those principles is represented by an absorbing
Markov chain introduced on its steps. Interesting conclusions are produced through this
representation and a measure is obtained for the effectiveness of teaching procedure. An
example for teaching the derivative to fresher university students is also presented
illustrating our results.

Abstract: Chen 2008, proposed a method for handling fuzzy risk analysis problems based on
measures of similarity between interval-valued fuzzy numbers. In this paper, we proposed
a method based on measures of similarity between generalized fuzzy numbers. In this
method, the horizontal center-of-gravity, the perimeter, the height and the area of the two
fuzzy numbers are considered and also the proposed approach is very simple and easy to
apply in the real life problems.

Abstract: In this work, we study the existence, uniqueness and continuity of solution to tock price
equation of CEV model with stochastic volatility in fixed fractional Brown motion.
Besides, we show a Monte Carlo simulation based on the discretization method to price
the European option.

Authors: Alam, Md. Ashraful; Islam, Sahidul; Pandit, M.K
Abstract: This research work provides a method based on fuzzy numbers to evaluate a faculty
member of a university associated with degrees of confidence of the evaluator (student).
The satisfaction levels for each question of faculty evaluation form are represented by
fuzzy numbers associated with degrees of confidence between zero and one. The arithmetic
operations between the α–cuts of fuzzy numbers are used to evaluate the total points of
each faculty.
